Exploring the Artistic Process

Each Red Tractor Designs piece begins with one of Rachael Flynn’s handmade art pieces. Beginning her process with gouache paint and a 3mm brush for outlining, Rachael now uses Photoshop to enhance her original work.

Inspired by the countryside scenes of her childhood and her life on the farm, Rachael began painting at home after leaving her profession as an Art teacher.
What began as painting greeting cards for a local market blossomed into a thriving artistic venture. 20 years on, Red Tractor Designs can be seen on tea towels, china cups, tableware, aprons, stationary and more. Read more about the artist here
